Co-Creating a More Walkable, Bikeable and Transit-Friendly Greensboro

A native of Greensboro, Gray Johnston decided to move back after graduating from UNC Chapel Hill in 2016. His current role for the City of Greensboro is a Transit Planning Apprentice with the Greensboro Transit Authority (‘GTA’).

Gray’s mission is to co-create a more walkable, bikeable and transit-friendly Greensboro. The Mobility Greensboro 2040 Plan is designed to establish long-term strategies and programs to make the Greensboro area’s bus system more efficient, while increasing ridership. Gray will share his insights on the plan and on the in-depth study being conducted to assess the changing transit needs of the Piedmont Triad’s residents, workers, students and visitors.
