Graduating and diving into the world of design can be daunting enough without having to deal with the stress of a worldwide pandemic. Join us on March 25th at 8PM EST as AIGA Triad hosts graphic designer Jimmy Henderson for a free virtual event “So You Are Graduating During a Pandemic”. Jimmy will cover some of the most pressing issues that graphic designers face such as preparing for graduation, searching for a job and pricing your work in a straight to the point, no frills style of honest conversation that should leave everyone more prepared to enter this crazy industry during the strangest of times.
Jimmy is a graphic designer, educator, and writer with a design style that includes minimalism, collage and street art. He has worked for ten years as a designer in North Carolina and his passions include branding, logo design, and craft beer design. Jimmy was a 2019 winner of the STA 100 Typography Award and has had work featured in the Dieline, LogoLounge, Design Incubation and Slanted magazine. He has guest lectured on different design topics at numerous colleges and universities and when he isn’t fully immersed in graphic design he enjoys playing video games and spending time with his family.
